Keep things simple. Dont overcomplicate. Allow no grey areas. Clearly define and structure your goals.
In order to make progress and create long term sustainable change, leave no options available. This therefore only leaves 1 option to step forwards. There can be risks but if there is no Plan B / C available, then you only have Plan A available to make it work. But at the same time be aware that external and internal change could and often happens at anytime.
Too many options can start to create an environnent in which you can to get too comfortable, creates division of energy, thoughts and time and therefore internal chaos that ultimately distracts you from the main goal. If you over complicate things you are more likely to feel overwhelmed with the process (especially in the beginning stages) and therefore less likely to stick / adhere to the process and targets to be achieved. Clearly defining your goals and targets with pinpoint precision eliminates uncertainity, creates confidence, credibility and self accountability. There are no grey areas to influence the equation.
Avoid clinging to old ties and its comforts. This leads to excuses to not move forwards towards positive change. Sometimes the things that are safe, reassuring and provide comfort hold you back, slowly starving us of action towards growing our fullest potential and being a better version of yourself. Avoid getting too attached to the protection and comfort of having options being available. This applies to all aspects of life, not only nutrition, health and fitness.
In the same way too many projects / goals can also lead to very little progress being made in completing them all as energy is scattered rather than directed at a single focused point.
So... keep it simple.
